Quarterly Book Review For this quarters go for revaluation I chose to read This Is Your Brain on Music: the experience of a Human Obsession, which delves rather deeply into the neuroscience behind our preferred symphony. No matter your taste in music, Levitin unexpended a relatable picture with his choice examples and analogies. Emphasis was put on the complexness of the cerebral process of listening to music and deciphering the layered sounds in real ti me. Our brains are capable of identifying multiple instruments or voices using only vibrations in the cable. Levitin gave a lot of honorable mention to the military man brain and its ability to keep come home of such unthinkable things. There were heavy elements of Physics and music theory, as soundly as psychology in this book.
